I have been using microsoft money since 2004. I have just discovered Jiosoft. I have a very old heavy compaq computer with the money program on it. I have never been able to get MM onto a new computer. What you are offering is by way of a life saver although I am 78 so not many years of usage to go.
Being too keen to try your product, I downloaded it onto my old compaq. secondly I should like help transferring my data from MM to jio. Lastly I find google sheets far superior to excel so I have always downloaded from MM onto excel then pasted back to google. I realise that I am past my sell by date but I have never ceased to be amazed by forethought behind MM.
I forgot to say, entering the first stage of dementia, I have been carrying this compaq onto planes and using up my baggage allowance and it is b-o-dy heavy.
Just purchased 2 days ago have had quicken for near on 20 years this software just worked as it said it would all my quicken accounts transferred over easy
After using Quicken since the 1980's I finally had to look for an alternative. This was due to Intuit not supporting the UK version since 2004. I continued to use the US version Quicken 2017 but since 2018 Quicken requires a subscription. I Googled various alternatives but most were either subscription or US based. Jiosoft Money Manager is neither. I asked several questions to Jiosoft customer service before purchasing and duly bought a copy. I exported my Quicken QIF files into Jiosoft and it accepted all the data correctly. I did have to manually setup my scheduled transactions but after a fairly short while it was behaving almost the same as Quicken. Customer service is excellent and any questions answered very quickly. For a stand alone UK Money Manager I would highly recommend it
This is a brilliant accounts package. For years I used quicken and transferred to Jiosoft early this year. Easy to use and transfer from quicken. My computer crashed recently and I lost a lot of stuff and I didn’t back up my work. I was thrilled when I went to reinstall Jiosoft to find all my accounts there. As I run a small charity all my charity accounts were on Jiosoft. A big thank you to everyone from a very happy customer x
I used Quicken for decades and needed a replacement and opted for JioSoft which easily allowed the transfer of Quicken data, however I had to manually install my scheduled transactions, which was easy but the transactions only get added to the accounts on the transaction date unless I manually enter them ahead of time. This would be far better if I could set the scheduled transactions to appear a set number of day early (like Quicken) so I can view the month ahead a glance.
After MS Money this package is too simplistic and I would not recommend it. It lacks considerable functionality taken for granted in MS Money incl. simple features such as create transactions as ATM, Cheque or Debit. Importing doesn't pick up planned bills etc so expect to enter those manually. In fact, don't try and import your accounts start from a reconciled figure after a statement and go from there otherwise you will pull your hair out if you enter a starting balance other than zero. The projections are very simplistic and in figures, not a good graph. All in all, I wish MS Money was avail on Windows 10. It worked and you could do far more with it than JIO Soft which is little more than a glorified record of transactions. Very disappointed for the price of £39.99 and cannot see how a small business would benefit.
Mar, I don't know when you wrote this review but I'm still using MS Money with Windows 10. There are ways of getting 2005 version to work that are easy to find with a quick google. At worst you just have to tweak the Internet Explorer registry but even that isn't always necessary. I'm looking to see if there are any better options around but will probably hold off as I expect Windows 11 will eventually kill of Money!
Chr, I'm still using Money 97 successfully on Windows 11. I've tried Banktree and Moneydance and always gone back to MS Money, so loathe to try Jiosoft after negative comments.
Having used Quicken for years I had to find a replacement for my new Windows 10 PC. After trying several other programs I found Jiosoft. Was wary of buying without a trial version but after emailing to ask whether there was one I was invited to say what features I particularly needed and got a comprehensive response. I have now migrated all accounts over from Quicken, I had a query re other currencies & got an immediate response & it worked. The support I got was excellent, bank & Credit Card statements have downloaded & imported perfectly.
